MRST High School Science Department - Technology Evaluation Metrics

The Department head of the Science program is responsible for evaluating the use of technology in department lessons.

This is how we will evaluate both our students and teachers:

Department of Science - Teachers evaluation

I. Evaluate teachers knowledge of technology.
A. Provide training on how to use the technology.
B. Administer a survey to gauge teacher comfort with and confidence of technology.
C. Administer evaluation to ensure teachers have required skills to use technology effectively.

Department of Science - Student evaluation
I. Department head evaluates students at their stations at the Science Fair.
II. Students will find two other people to evaluate their project and will submit names of the persons evaluating them to the department head before the science fair.
III. Faculty volunteers, students and parents will complete a survey that rates how successful the students are in integrating the technology into their presentations and will judge to see if the presentation are enhanced by the use of technology.
